Syllabus: The curriculum for the Computer-Based Examination is outlined as follows
1. General Intelligence and Reasoning
2. General Knowledge and General Awareness
3. Elementary Mathematics
4. English/ Hindi
General Intelligence and Reasoning: Analytical aptitude and the ability to perceive and identify patterns will be assessed through primarily non-verbal questions. This section may encompass inquiries related to analogies, similarities, and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, etc.
General Knowledge and General Awareness: This section aims to evaluate the candidate’s general awareness of their surroundings. Questions will test their knowledge of current events and matters related to everyday observations and experiences from a scientific perspective, as anticipated of an educated individual. The test will encompass questions about India and its neighboring countries, particularly focusing on areas like sports, history, culture, geography, economic scene, general polity, Indian Constitution, and scientific research, among others. These questions are designed in a way that does not necessitate a specialized study in any particular discipline.
Elementary Mathematics: This paper will feature questions related to problems concerning Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions, and the relationship between Numbers. It will also cover Fundamental Arithmetical Operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.
English/Hindi: Candidates’ proficiency in understanding basic English/Hindi and their fundamental comprehension skills will be assessed.
