SSC MTS Exam Pattern Details:

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) Examination Pattern and scheme of examination are as follows:

The recruitment process for the post of Havaldar will comprise the following stages: Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST), and Document Verification (DV).

Computer Based Exam: The Computer Based examination will consist of two papers:

  • Paper-I: Objective Type
  • Paper-II: Descriptive Type

The details of the examination are provided below:

(i)The Computer Based Examination will feature Objective Type Multiple Choice questions. These questions will be available in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages for Session-I and the General Awareness Section of Session-II. There will be no negative marking in Session-I. However, in Session-II, one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates should take note of this while responding to the questions.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

For Male:

  • Height: 157.5 cms. (relaxable by 5 cms. for Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas, and members of Schedule Tribes)
  • Chest: 81 cms. (fully expanded with minimum expansion of 5 cms.)

For Female:

  • Height: 152 cms. (relaxable by 2.5 cms. for Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas, and members of Schedule Tribes)
  • Weight: 48 kg (relaxable by 2 kg for Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas, and members of Schedule Tribes)

Document Verification :

Following the government’s decision to streamline the recruitment process, Document Verification (DV) will be conducted by the User Departments/Organizations after the final result is declared. Candidates must submit copies of various documents listed below during the Document Verification:

(i) Matriculation/Secondary Certificate.

(ii) Order/letter certifying equivalent Educational Qualifications, specifying the Authority (with number and date) under which it has been recognized as equivalent, if claiming such qualification.

(iii) Caste/Category Certificate, if belonging to reserved categories.

(iv) Persons with Disabilities Certificate in the required format, if applicable.
