SSC Constable Selection:The recruitment process will involve a Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Medical Examination (DME/RME), and Document Verification.

Candidates meeting the prescribed cut-off marks (without including bonus marks for NCC certificate holders) will be deemed eligible for shortlisting for the next stage, i.e., PET/PST.

  • UR : 30%
  • OBC/ EWS : 25%
  •  All other categories : 20%

NCC Certificate holders will be granted following incentive marks provisionally which will be added to the normalized scores of the candidates:

  • NCC ‘C’ Certificate : 5% of total marks
  • NCC ‘B’ Certificate : 3% of total marks
  • NCC ‘A’ Certificate : 2% of total marks

Male and female candidates will be categorized State/Area-wise and category-wise based on their merit in the Computer Based Examination (including NCC bonus marks, if applicable) for shortlisting to the PET/PST. The number of candidates shortlisted for PET/PST, based on their merit in the Computer Based examination, will be approximately 8 (Eight) times the number of vacancies. A greater number of candidates may be shortlisted against SSF vacancies.

Candidates who successfully clear the PET/PST will be eligible for shortlisting to the next stage, i.e., Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Document Verification (DV).

Male and female candidates who qualify in the PET/PST will be shortlisted State/Area-wise and category-wise based on their merit in the Computer Based Examination (including NCC bonus marks, if applicable) for participation in the DME/DV. The number of candidates shortlisted for the DME/DV, based on their merit in the Computer Based examination, will be approximately 2 (Two) times the number of vacancies. A higher number of candidates may be shortlisted against SSF vacancies.

Document verification, which involves collecting the required eligibility certificates/documents from the candidates and verifying them with the original documents, will be conducted by the CAPFs along with the Detailed Medical Examination.

If a candidate has claimed to have an NCC Certificate and is unable to produce a valid NCC Certificate during DV, incentive marks provisionally awarded to the candidate will be withdrawn.
